An “Innovative Care Campus” on the Oregon Coast in Astoria, OR; the Clatsop Care project included Memory Care Gardens, as well as Garden spaces for Bariatric and Assisted Living Care Units.
The center piece of this design is a beautiful healing garden. It features a shading arbor, quiet meditation areas, as well a labyrinth, all on the rooftop over the operating rooms. In addition, we developed the lobby courtyard area and a terrace garden.
For Providence Milwaukie Hospital, we designed the entrance and site plantings for a new ER/MRI addition and a meditative healing garden at the medical office building. This seacoast community hospital undertook the addition of a Medical Office Building with landscaping that would be salt tolerant and colorful. Our plantings included numerous perennials, ornamental grasses and seacoast plantings. The sandy soils were also taken into consideration for irrigation purposes.
The Cancer Center at Samaritan is expanding its service level on the GSRMC campus. MEP will be developing numerous gardens including; a central courtyard garden with a significant water feature, natural landscaping adjacent to the treatment units (screened for privacy), entrance plaza and landscaping and a relocated labyrinth garden.
