The City of Redmond was developing a new Central Fire Station in the center of the city to consolidate and update the existing stations. MEPpc, was responsible for the irrigation and planting for the Central Oregon site. We utilized drought and cold tolerant plantings to achieve a sustainable landscape over time.
As a part of this Rehabilitation Project for the Community Partners for Affordable Housing in Woodburn, OR, Macdonald Environmental Planning prepared Landscape Renovation and Irrigation Plans for the 94-unit, 11 acre site. Specific features which were previously unaddressed included Stormwater Swales, a Neighborhood Park, and Bus Stops.
Fairview Village is a community developed in the neo-traditional approach in planning and design. The “Neo Traditional” encourages pedestrian friendly streetscapes, pocket parks, and the introduction of ally-ways with garages in the rear of the homes. Large porches and smaller front yards encourage resident interaction and embraces a sense of community.

Located in Sisters, Oregon – the South Valley Bank & Trust displays a drought tolerant landscape that closely resembles the native forest that surrounds the City of Sisters. Site features include multiple bioswales for stormwater treatment and Large Ponderosa Pines that were protected during construction to provide habitat for wildlife.
