Fairview Village is a community developed in the neo-traditional approach in planning and design. Large porches and smaller front yards encourage resident interaction and embraces a sense of community.
Arbor Village is a community west of Portland which has a four acre community park with an old-fashioned gazebo for concerts. The park also has a wetland of significant size. We were able to locate and wetland raised walking bridge so residents could enjoy views and connections with nature.
West Orenco is a 422-unit high-density housing project with excellent connection to public transport. Our design balances sustainability through wetland mitigation and storm water swales with community spaces such as a pool deck and patio and a 2-acre park.
For the design of this community development, we envisioned over a ¼ mile of greenway trails to serve as important passive recreation and pedestrian access throughout the community. An existing wetland will be preserved and serve as a sustainable education component for visitors.
This 2 Acre Neighborhood Park will provide play areas for young and older kids, a picnic shelter and plaza overlooking green space next to a nature preserve. Our design encompasses the sustainable community development and environmental stewardship visions set forth by the City of Hillsboro.
