Laurel Macdonald Bonnell, Principal
PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
- Laurel has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington 1976 and founded Macdonald Environmental Planning, P.C. in 1982 as a design oriented landscape architectural firm. Her experience includes a wide variety of projects on which she strives to employ sustainable design solutions. The scale of work varies from large scale mixed use urban developments, varied housing types, system wide and regional medical campus healing environment master plans for service providers, to detailed healing gardens, small meditation courtyards and rootop terraces.
In recent years, Laurel has authored articles on Healing Environments Master Planning & Design, Greening Affordable Housing and Rooftop Designs, and has been a guest speaker at Healthcare and Architecture Institute, and Facilities Management conferences.

Bryan Bailey, Project Manager
PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
- Bryan Bailey is a Project Manager and LEED AP for the firm and has been with Macdonald Environmental Planning, PC for just under three years. He is our firm Presentation Graphics lead and is fully capable of developing perspective illustrations and plan presentation graphics on any project in the office.
As a graduate from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, he brings a sustainable design research background and dedicated sense for community based design to the firm. His project experience includes sustainable mountain recreation design, eco-tourism studies, resort development, community revitalization, and city beautification streetscapes.
